In collaboration with @WeWalkIndy, @danceworksindy, @quantumcavern, and @findfunindy, Dance Walk Indy is a citywide celebration where we turn sidewalks into dance floors and spreading smiles everywhere we go!
Get ready for a special Indy 500 Qualifications outing — combining a high-energy dance walk beforehand to one of Indianapolis’s most iconic traditions.
No choreography, no pressure—just music, movement, and good vibes. Whether you’ve got two left feet or a lifetime of dance behind you, this event is about fun, freedom, and connection.
Open to all friends ages 0-101. This is not a singles event
Schedule:
📍 9:30 AM | Check-In – Meeting spot is Speedway City Garage
Meet the group, grab a coffee, and get ready to move. Please feel free to arrive early especially if you want coffee before.
💃 9:45 – 10:30 AM | Dance Walk (free)
We’ll dance our way down Main Street in Speedway to Gate 1 led by WeWalk Indy. Dance Works Indy will be keeping us hype with some dance moves and Quatum Cavern has the beats with a mobile speaker and playlist.
🏁 10:30 – 11:00 AM | Enter IMS & Walk to Seats (paid)
For those sticking around to go inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Qualifications, we’ll head inside together and find our spots with WeWalk Indy. BUY YOUR OWN TICKETS directly from IMS
🏎️ 11:00 – 11:45 AM | Watch Indy 500 Qualifications
We'll grab our seats in the grandstands together to watch the drivers battle it out for pole position.
🎉 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM | Fan Fest
We’ll take a break from watching Quals, and explore Fan Fest — a chance to hang out, grab food or drinks, and keep the good vibes going.
PLAN AHEAD - IMS schedule
✅ You can bring:
Sunscreen, comfy shoes, and water
Food & drinks (including beer/wine in non-glass containers)
Coolers (max size: 18”x15”x15”)
Small umbrellas, strollers, and that race-day energy!
A friend (or come solo and meet new ones!)
Your best “dress to express” outfit.
Comfortable shoes for moving and grooving
