MEET TARA WADE, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Tara Wade is a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Cincinnati, Ohio, currently practicing at Empowering Counseling and Therapy.

She studied Psychology at Kent State University and earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Cincinnati. While working in private practice, she developed a passion for supporting individuals navigating anxiety, OCD, relationship issues, trauma, and emotional regulation.

Throughout her career, she has received training in using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and applying attachment science. She recognizes how early life experiences shape the ways we relate to ourselves, others, and, most importantly, our romantic partners in adulthood.

She believes that people can begin to lead more fulfilling lives by understanding their attachment patterns, unlearning unhelpful coping strategies, and developing a stronger sense of self.
